Konstantin Dolgan is the CTO and co-founder of QMS2GO. He is a product development engineer with a Ph.D. in materials and infrastructure systems engineering who first met ISO 9001 from the inside, as an R&D engineer designing API 610 centrifugal pumps in a certified shop, and has since led the development of more than 1,000 physical products. He designs the traceability engine behind QMS2GO: the part of the system that connects an order to a work order, a material certificate and an approved revision.
Konstantin Dolgan, Ph.D., is the CTO and co-founder of QMS2GO, the audit-ready quality management system for ISO 9001:2015 manufacturers. He is a product development engineer by training and by trade, and he approaches quality management the way he approaches any hard engineering problem: as a system with inputs, constraints, failure modes and evidence that it works.
His introduction to quality management was not a consulting engagement. It was a job. As an R&D mechanical and hydraulic engineer at DXP Enterprises, he designed and optimized API 610 centrifugal pumps for oil and gas service, running computational fluid dynamics and finite element analysis on vibration, structural stress and fatigue, and authoring the engineering reports and internal standards behind those designs. That work happened inside a certified quality management system, which means he lived the parts of ISO 9001 that engineers actually feel: design inputs and outputs, design review and verification, controlled drawings and revisions, material traceability, nonconforming product, and the discipline of proving with records that the pump you shipped is the pump you designed. He has been on the receiving end of a quality system rather than only writing procedures for one, and that shapes how QMS2GO treats the shop floor.
He holds a Ph.D. in Materials and Infrastructure Systems Engineering from Louisiana Tech University, along with an MS in Technological Machines and Equipment and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Karaganda State Technical University. His doctoral research produced a new method for arresting fatigue cracks in metals through electrochemical crack infiltration, published in peer-reviewed journals. Research on failure mechanisms turned out to be unusually good preparation for quality management, because both disciplines ask the same question: where does this system break, how would we detect it early, and what evidence proves the fix worked. Root cause analysis, risk-based thinking and effectiveness verification are the quality clause names for engineering habits he already had.
Konstantin founded LA New Product Development Team in 2015, growing it from a student organization at Louisiana Tech into a product design, engineering and prototyping firm that has taken more than 1,000 physical products from concept to manufacturable reality across aerospace, defense, energy, industrial and dual-use markets, and spun out six companies along the way. He also co-founded Grapheno, an R&D company working on graphene production technology and in-situ fatigue crack treatment, and he holds the Certified New Product Development Professional (NPDP) credential from PDMA. Those thousand-plus projects meant working alongside a very wide range of companies: machine shops, fabricators, oilfield suppliers, aerospace and defense contractors, startups with no process at all and primes with far too much of it. Seeing that many operations from the inside is what makes QMS2GO configurable rather than opinionated, because he already knows how differently two compliant manufacturers can legitimately run.
QMS2GO is the intersection of those three tracks. The engineering background supplies the vocabulary of manufacturing and the instinct for traceability. The product development discipline supplies stage gates, requirements, verification and the habit of designing for the person who has to use the thing at seven in the morning with gloves on. The entrepreneurial experience supplies the constraint that matters most to a small manufacturer, which is that the system has to pay for itself quickly and be deployable in days rather than quarters. His technical thesis for the platform is that quality management is a data architecture problem wearing a compliance costume. Most audit findings are not caused by a missing procedure. They are caused by disconnected systems, where quality lives in a shared drive, production lives in spreadsheets and purchasing lives in accounting software, so nothing can be reconstructed later.
At QMS2GO he leads architecture and engineering: the data model that ties a customer order to the work order, the inspection, the material certificate and the supplier behind it; the traceability engine that makes that chain reconstructable years later; the governance layer for review, approval and electronic signature; the QuickBooks and ERP integrations that keep operational and financial records from drifting apart; and the AI systems that draft documented information, assist root cause analysis and prepare management review inputs. He built the platform as a system that generates systems, meaning it produces a real quality management system for a specific company rather than handing over a template library. His AI design rule is deliberately narrow: models work from verbatim ISO 9001:2015 clause text rather than paraphrase, and their output is always presented as a draft for a human to own and approve, because an auditor holds a person accountable, not a model.
Konstantin was named to Forbes The Next 1000 in 2021, the magazine's list of upcoming American entrepreneurs, and to the Silicon Bayou 100 from 2017 to 2019, recognizing the top technology entrepreneurs in Louisiana. He is the author of two books on product development, Realizr and InventDraft, a co-author of a chapter in Nanomaterials and Nanoarchitectures, and an author of multiple peer-reviewed journal articles on nanotechnology, metal fatigue and materials science. He is an inventor on 12 United States patents, 7 of them granted and 5 pending. He co-founded QMS2GO in 2024 and works from the company headquarters in Ruston, Louisiana. He writes about the technical side of quality management: structuring documented information so revisions and approvals hold up under clause 7.5, connecting records to processes and risks, what electronic signature and retention requirements mean in practice, how to migrate a decade of spreadsheets and shared drives without losing the audit trail, and where AI genuinely helps a quality team versus where it only creates review work.
